Privacy policy
This policy explains which personal data Trihav processes, why we process it and which rights you have. It applies to this website and to the business contact we have with you.
Who is responsible for your data
Trihav, Catenbergstraat 2b, 2840 Rumst, Belgium, is the controller of the personal data described below. For any question about this policy or about your data, you can reach us at info@trihav.com.
Which data we collect
We only collect data that you provide to us yourself. Through the contact form on this website that is your name, company name, work e-mail address, optional phone number and the commercial information you choose to share about your market, product category, retail base, volumes and timeline.
When we work together, we additionally process the ordinary business contact details of the people involved in the account, such as name, function, e-mail address and phone number.
Why we use it
We use your data to answer your request, to prepare and discuss a possible cooperation and to manage the commercial relationship once it exists. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising by third parties.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and, once a cooperation starts, the performance of the agreement between us. Where the law requires it, for example for accounting records, we rely on our legal obligations.
Who can see your data
Access is limited to the Trihav employees who need it for their work. We also use a small number of service providers who host this website and our business software on our behalf. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area unless an appropriate safeguard is in place.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a cooperation are kept for a maximum of two years, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. Data linked to an active or past cooperation is kept for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for the periods imposed by accounting and commercial law.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct, delete or restrict it. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Send your request to info@trihav.com and we will handle it within one month. If you feel your request was not treated properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
